Here are some photos of our venue - the Founders Memorial Garden. This is a very special place for us. It is where John took me on our first date, and it is where he proposed to me on December 8, 2007. It seemed only natural for us to get married there!

This is what the garden house looks like from Lumpkin Street.

Garden house up close, with really cool shadows.

This is the lower garden where the ceremony will be. The "altar" will be up in front of the fountain pool.

Another view of the ceremony area and the fountain.

Altar area. We are going to float candles and gardenias in the pool!

This is a picture of the Boxwood Garden.  You can see the house in the background.
This is another view of the boxwood garden. We'll have tallboy cafe tables here so people can wander around.
This is the upper garden and arboretum where the cocktail hour will take place.
This is where we sat on our first date, and where John proposed to me!
This is the path to the arbor shown above.

This is the area where the cocktail reception will be held while the ceremony area transforms into the reception area!

This is a very rare Bird of Paradise plant. The garden is actually run by UGA's School of Environmental Design and is home to many rare and experimental species of plants!

The gravel patio in the foreground will be the dance floor, overlooking round tables where people can sit and eat during the reception.
